Coach's Responsibilities
Becoming a coach for the Southern Illinois Tigers is an experience that calls for dedication. Coaches need to understand that they must be committed to and understand the needs of their student-athletes. Coaches will take a leadership role on and off the basketball court in the development of their student-athletes.
Being a positive example and role model at practice, meetings, and in the community is also very important. Coaches will behave in a professional manner while at practice, meetings, community events, and while traveling to tournaments.
Coaches are to support and participate in fundraising events beyond player and parent involvement.
Coaches are to attend promptly, all coaches' meetings, player meetings, and organizational meetings.
